Ministry of Urban Development and Housing

The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing[2] (Sinhala: නාගරික සංවර්ධන හා නිවාස අමාත්‍යාංශය; Tamil: நகர அபிவிருத்தி மற்றும் வீடமைப்பு அமைச்சு) is a cabinet ministry of the Government of Sri Lanka responsible for housing and construction. The ministry is responsible for formulating and implementing national policy on housing and construction and other subjects which come under its purview.[3] The current Minister of Urban Development and Housing is Prasanna Ranatunga.[1] The ministry's secretary is Mr. R M Abyeratne.[4]
