The station is 140 m (460 ft) long and has been constructed on the narrow Khudi Ram Bose Marg with only 13 m (43 ft) of width,[5] a constraint that led to its designers opting for a single pier - the chandelier style station design - with one pillar branching out into two columns. This was the first time that such a design was used on the Delhi Metro network.[6] The stations of both the lines are connected by a 83 m (272 ft) long footbridge.[6] In addition, the viaduct adjacent to the Pink Line station passes over the Blue Line viaduct and 2 road flyovers at a height of 23 m (75 ft) metres, which is the second highest on the network.[7]
