Gray received serious wounds to his arm, face, and hand, and then shot Estrada at least once. A second CHP officer arrived to the scene several minutes later and attempted to handcuff Estrada but he resisted arrest and was then Tasered. Two good Samaritans also assisted in helping handcuff Estrada. He quickly died from the gunshot wounds.[44] |

Responding deputies approached Torres on foot and he turned toward them, still holding the knife. He refused to comply with their orders and was fatally shot by deputy Christina Dobbs.[61][62] |
