This is a list of People's Artists of the USSR, a honorary title granted to artists of the Soviet Union between 1936 and 1991. The list covers both the award for performance arts (Russian: Народный артист СССР, romanized: Narodny artist SSSR) and a separate award for visual arts (Народный художник, Narodny khudozhnik).
