Kobylice [kɔbɨˈlit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Cisek, within Kędzierzyn-Koźle County, Opole Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north-west of Cisek, 5 km (3 mi) south-west of Kędzierzyn-Koźle, and 43 km (27 mi) south-east of the regional capital Opole.

History
The name of the village is of Polish origin and comes from the word kobyła, which means "mare".[2] In the late 19th century, it had an almost entirely Catholic population of 456.[3]
