Founded March 27, 2017, by Mike Kingsley and Bryan Zollinger.[3]
It has been part of the State Freedom Caucus Network since January 2023.[4]
Issues
In April 2017, the IDFC collaborated to challenge Governor Butch Otter's veto of the Idaho grocery tax.[5]
In 2023 member Senator Chris Trakel left the Idaho Freedom Caucus. Supposedly due to a lack of the IDF to remain independent of special interest groups and their influence.
