Dr. Hedgewar Hospital (officially known as Dr. Hedgewar Rugnalaya; Marathi: डॉ. हेडगेवार रुग्णालय) is a charitable hospital in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. It was established in 1989 as a 10-bed hospital, as one of the main projects of the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Vaidyakiya Pratishthan foundation. As of 2022, the hospital has treated more than seven million patients.[1][2]

Services

As of 2022 and since the expansion in 2010, the hospital has 300 beds and runs medical services in many specialties.[3]

The hospital runs mobile dispensaries and HIV prevention programs for the population living in the slums of Aurangabad.[2]

In 2023, Direct Relief procured diagnostic machinery for the hospital in order to establish an infectious disease department.[4]
