Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre

Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre is a government agency that generates and forecasts floods in Bangladesh and is located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.[1][2][3] The centre is an important part the government mechanism that deals with Flooding in Bangladesh.[4]

History

Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre was established in 1972 under Bangladesh Water Development Board.[5] It is under the Ministry of Water Resources.[6][7] The centre has 109 water level monitoring stations and 61 forecasting stations throughout Bangladesh.[8]
