"Feels Like I'm Falling in Love" (stylised in all lowercase, without spaces in-between) is a song by British rock band Coldplay from their upcoming tenth studio album, Moon Music.[1][2] It was released as the lead single on 21 June 2024 by Parlophone in the United Kingdom and Atlantic Records in the United States.[3]

Background and composition
On 13 June 2024, Coldplay announced through their social media profiles that the song will be released on 21 June.[4] The song was written by the band members and produced by Max Martin, Oscar Holter, Bill Rahko, Daniel Green and Michael Ilbert.[5][6] It also samples "Funeral Singers", as performed by Sylvan Esso and written by Tim Rutili.
Critical reception
"Feels Like I'm Falling in Love" received generally positive reviews from music critics. Andrew Unterberger from Billboard described the song as "Coldplay generally doing what they do best: love songs with moody verses and blood-rush choruses that you can remember after a single listen".[7] Stereogum's Chris DeVille commented that "Despite the involvement of a pop mastermind like Max Martin, who also worked on 2021's crossover-minded Music of the Spheres, [it] comes off a bit more like mid-2000s imperial Coldplay with a bit more sparkle".[8] Writing for Uproxx, Derrick Rossignol praised the track as "a lush and uplifting number".[9]
Music video
The music video for "Feels Like I'm Falling in Love" was shot at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens, Greece.[10][11] Reports from local media suggested that it had a budget of €3 million, consequently ranking among the most expensive music videos of all time.[12][13][14] The music video, directed by Ben Mor, which contains lyrics in sign language, was released on 1 July 2024. July is celebrated as Disability Pride Month.[15]
Live performances
On 16 June 2024, during the Music of the Spheres World Tour in Budapest, the band performed "Feels Like I'm Falling in Love" for the first time ever in public.[16] The band also performed the song at the Glastonbury Festival in Pilton, Somerset on 29 June 2024.[17]
