The maxi single consists of three additional tracks in addition to "Good Day" – the Japanese re-recordings of "One and Only", "But Sometimes" and "Earth, Wind & Fire".[6][7]
Release and promotion
"Good Day" was released on July 10, 2024, as the group's first Japanese-language maxi single with the title And,.[5] The Japanese re-recording of "Earth, Wind & Fire" was released as a promotional single on June 19, ahead of the single's release.[8] Pre-orders for the physical single began on May 8.[9]
BoyNextDoor began promotional activities for "Good Day" on June 19, with a surprise appearance at a listening party held at the Club Quattro in Shibuya, Tokyo, where the single's title was announced and the Japanese version of "Earth, Wind & Fire" was performed.[10][11] The band previously opened a photo exhibit on June 14 in collaboration with the retail chain Parco.[12] The single's release will be accompanied by a showcase held in Japan.[13]
Concept photos were released in the run-up to the single's release.[14] For the "syouyo" (逍遥, lit. 'walking') concept, the images depict the members aimlessly wandering the streets of Japan as they share personal stories.[15][16] In the "yakou" (逍遥, lit. 'night train') concept photos, the members are depicted running around in a Japanese train station and entering a convenience store.[17][18]
