Alexandra Whittingham is an English classical guitarist. She teaches guitar at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester along with performing at guitar festivals and concerts. She is a Decca Classics recording artist.
Biography
Whittingham was born in Manchester, England,[1] and studied music at Chetham's School of Music from the age of 11, then at the Royal Academy of Music in London where she received graduate and postgraduate degrees.[2] In 2024, she signed an exclusive recording contract with Decca Classics,[3] with a four-track EP released on March 24, 2024.[4]
Wittingham maintains a YouTube channel on which she provides professional-quality recorded performances of the classical guitar repertoire.[5] As of June, 2024, the channel has over 320,000 subscribers.
Wittingham will perform as the classical guitarist in the four-guitarist International Guitar Night 2025 Tour.[6]
