Those kingdoms, duchies and other crown lands (Kronländer) of the Austrian Empire from 1867 to 1918. Formally known as "The Kingdoms and Lands represented in the Imperial Council", it was informally known as "Cisleithania". Following the constitutional changes of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867, the Cisleithanian crown lands had a separate legal identity to the Lands of the Crown of Saint Stephen, informally known as Transleithania. Together, Cisleithania and Transleithania constituted the Austro-Hungarian Empire or "Dual Monarchy".
