Hintergrund
Das Konzert, das auf den Aufnahmen zu hören ist, wurde als Teil der Highway to Hell-Welttournee am 19. Dezember 1979 im Pavillon de Paris in Paris eingespielt. Ein Videomitschnitt wurde unter dem Titel AC/DC: Let There Be Rock als Musikfilm in Kinos veröffentlicht und im Jahr 1980 auf Video-Kassette auf den Markt gebracht.[1] Am 10. Juni 2011 wurde der Film auf DVD und Blu-ray neuaufgelegt. Zunächst sollte die Neuauflage des Films Anfang 2011 erscheinen,[2] das Veröffentlichungsdatum wurde später auf den Juni 2011 verlegt.[3][4]
Das Album beinhaltet sowohl Stücke aus dem gleichnamigen Album Let There Be Rock, als auch von den Alben High Voltage, T.N.T. (nur in Australien erschienen), Powerage und Highway to Hell.
